hounslow-hawks.jpgFootballers of all ages took part in an football fun day on Sunday.

Hounslow Hawks ran the day, which invited footballers of all standards to take part in a four-hour, five-a-side tournament at Old Isleworthians in Wood Lane.

Other attractions included penalty shoot-outs, competitions, kids' rides, games and stalls.

Guests also enjoyed a barbecue and refreshments after getting sweaty on the pitch.

Hounslow Hawks is a team for adults who experience mental health problems.

Hawks manager Michelle Nielsen said: "The aim of the day was to raise much-needed funds so the Hawks can continue to play in the upcoming season.

"There are proven links between exercise and positive mental health and football can be an acceptable way for young people (particularly men) to become more physically active and engage, which can help promote recovery."
