StoryStar is a writing competition for young people in west London aged 4 - 18. All entries are published on www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk and the winners will receive books for themselves and their school from Random House Children's Books and see their stories printed in the paper.

A con man is duping Isleworth residents into handing over their money by pretending he needs to visit his sick girlfriend.
The Isleworth Safer Neighbourhood team were contacted by a number of people who were approached by a man in the South Street, North Street and Swan Street area, and told his girlfriend was rushed to St Peters Hospital and can he borrow money to get there and see her.
