Over 200 guests turned up to the fourth annual Jersey Gardens Summer Fayre to enjoy the entertainment.

The Osterley event which is said to get 'bigger and better each year', was organised at the Ridgeway Road gardens by Friends of Jersey Gardens (FoJG), who made the decision to restore the run-down area back in 2003.

Basil Mann, chairman of Osterley and Wyke Green Residents Association, who are affiliated with FoJG, said: "It was a very succesful day and everyone had a great time despite the live music group letting us down."

Guests enjoyed stalls, food produced by Park Cafe of Thornbury Road, face painting and demonstrations by Hendon Fire Service.

Colin Hume, chairman of FoJG said has said how the group hopes to keep improving the gardens by restoring the pavilion, water fountain, tennis courts and children's play area.

As well as developing an orchard that local children and schools can become involved
