Police are hunting two thugs who stabbed a Tesco employee outside the Isleworth store in the early hours of this morning.

The Sikh victim was entering the Syon Lane superstore at 4.45am this morning, to start his 5am shift, when he was attacked and stabbed in the leg.

Commuters have the opportunity to get valuable tube crime safety advice next week in Hounslow.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers will be on hand to offer crime prevention and safety advice at a number of tube stations through the week.

A BOTCHED daylight robbery from a cash-in-transit guard took place at Tesco in Syon Lane, Isleworth on Friday.

The guard was dropping off money bags at the supermarket at about noon when a hooded man ran at him and tried to grab the cash.

A con man is duping Isleworth residents into handing over their money by pretending he needs to visit his sick girlfriend.

The Isleworth Safer Neighbourhood team were contacted by a number of people who were approached by a man in the South Street, North Street and Swan Street area, and told his girlfriend was rushed to St Peters Hospital and can he borrow money to get there and see her.

On Saturday, September 20, officers from the Syon Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) supported Notting Hill Housing's first community open day held in the community room at West Middlesex Estate.

All residents were given the opportunity to talk to a number of local partners and receive information on any issues or concerns.

Free bike maintenance and children's face painting was also on hand.

Officers from Osterley & Spring Grove Safer Neighbourhoods Team spent two days with staff at Sky at their offices in Isleworth.

The site employs over 5,000 people and the team were on hand to offer practical advice and information and to promote a property marking security initative.
